BBC Three http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree will air Doctor Who Confidential each week immediately following firstrun episodes of the Doctor Who series in 2005. Doctor Who Confidential will be a weekly 30 minute behind the scenes look at the episodes designed for the general public. Each broadcast will have a specific theme. Doctor Who is not the first show to have a special secondary feature on BBC Three about it - 24 and Eastenders have also been used to provide special material for the channel. BBC Three should be available to anyone in the UK who has Freeview, Digital Cable, or Sky Digital. Sky Digital subscribers in Ireland who can see BBC One and Two should also get BBC Three - you may need to manually add the channel, but it's my understanding that the channel is there to get.
New Hampshire Public TV http://www.nhptv.org announced on October 12 that they are discontinuing Doctor Who after 24 years on their lineup. The last episode will be November 13 and the last story appears to be The Hand Of Fear. Here is the notice sent to fans who supported Doctor Who on NHPTV:

Dear Doctor Who fans,

We are sorry to inform you that "Doctor Who"'s last appearance on New Hampshire Public Television will be Saturday, November 13th. There are many wonderful programs that NHPTV would like to air and unfortunately, we cannot maintain "Doctor Who" and introduce new programs to our schedule. We are very sorry to disappoint you.

Our contract with the BBC for "Doctor Who" expires this fall and we will not be renewing it. The British programs are extraordinarily expensive and in this tough budget year, we just can't afford them anymore. "Doctor Who" is probably one of the most expensive British programs we air. We realize that NHPTV is the only public televisio in NE that is still airing "Doctor Who." NHPTV is sensitive to our science fiction viewers and we are looking for alternative programs, but we have not found anything comparable yet.

There are at least a few weeks of the good Doctor left to enjoy though. Six different episodes will air this month, with the last episode set for November 13th. Also, many of the "Doctor Who" series are also available on DVD now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/doctorwho .

Again, thank you for your understanding and we hope that you will continue to enjoy and support NHPTV programs that entertain, educate and enrich.

Sincerely,
Tamara Hindle

TWIDW editor's note - NHPTV has directed fans to the Region 2 PAL DVD releases. http://www.whona.com and http://www.gallifreyone.com are two of many DVD sources that will be more relevant if you are getting Region 1 DVDs (US/Canada).
Alas, with the departure of NHPTV that will leave just seven regular broadcasters in the US airing Doctor Who.
While there are rumors of other international broadcasters looking seriously at the new Doctor Who series, the only publicly announced sale as of this writing is with CBC Canada http://www.cbc.ca . Hopefully now that the Mipcom http://www.mipcom.com conference in France is completed, more sales will occur/be announced. The BBC has announced that they are launching BBC Japan in Japan on 1 December - little is known about the specific programs it will air, though I would not consider it a likely location for the new episodes.
Sky One http://www.skyone.co.uk will air the 1966 theatrical
movie "Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150AD" late Saturday October 23 at
12:45AM BST. This is the colour movie remake of The Dalek Invasion
Of Earth, with Peter Cushing playing Dr. Who.
